5 Finger Knuckle SaMMAch: 5 October Fights You Shouldn't Miss

1. Bellator Middleweight Semi-Finals taking place at Bellator 54 on October 15th
Bryan Baker vs Vitor Vianna, Brian Rogers vs Alexander Shlemenko
Arguably Bellator's best tournament this season has 2 outstanding matchups for their semi finals.  The Baker vs Vianna bout has a potential battle no matter where it ends up.  The Rogers vs Shlemenko bout matches 2 deadly strikers which has all the makings of a KO finish.  The winners of these 2 bouts will face off at a later date to decide who faces current Bellator Middleweight champion Hector Lombard.

2. Houston Alexander vs Steve Bosse taking place at Instinct Fighting 1 on October 7th
Believe it or not Alexander is on a 4 fight win streak and looking to get back into the UFC (which is the theme in the 3 individual bouts on this list).  He faces the heavy handed and former hockey player Bosse who has he own UFC aspirations.  This fight most likely will give the judges the night off as both will be looking for the highlight reel KO.

3.Bellator Welterweight Semi-Finals taking place at Bellator 53 on October 8th
Ben Saunders vs Luis Santos, Douglas Lima vs Chris Lozano
Another Bellator tournament cracks the top 5 and this one could be just as explosive as the Middleweight tournament.  About as even of bouts as they could make the winner of the tournament will look to dethrone current Bellator Welterweight champion Ben Askren,

4. Ryan Jimmo vs Rameau Thierry Sokodjou taking place at MFC 31on October 7th
Jimmo who now has won 15 fights in a row looks to defend his MFC Light Heavyweight title against Rameau Thierry Sokodjou who is on his own win streak of 3 fights now.  A stoppage will most likely be in order with the UFC officials having eyes on this on.

5. Patrick Cote vs Crafton Wallace taking place at Instinct Fighting 1 on October 7th
Cote, who is an undefeated 11-0 outside of the UFC is looking to make his return to the organization with a win against Wallace.  Wallace, who has had a taste of the UFC himself would be a few wins away from getting back into the big leagues but getting the upset against Cote will definitely turn some heads in the MMA world.

Honorable Mention
BEP 5: Breast Cancer Beatdown taking place on October 1st
Black Eye Promotions is set to hold their Breast Cancer Beatdown event and although one fight doesn't really standout the event as a whole and their cause should.  A large portion of the events proceeds will be going towards "It Ain't Chemo" charity which goes towards the research of cancer and those effected by the disease.  Featuring a main event between Roxanne Modafferi taking on Barb Honchak and no less than 7 other Women's bouts taking place this event could be a great showcase of WMMA and an interesting option on a night full of MMA action.
