Pat Curran defeated Ronnie Mann by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
My Prediction: Curran by decision
My Rating: $1/2
What Happened: Curran was the aggressor in this fight using his size advantage and leading with a jumping numerous times to set up his striking game which kept Mann off balance through out the bout. Mann did have some submission attempts at the end of the 2nd and 3rd rounds but didn't have enough time to work with them but aside from that Curran pretty much cruised through this win with not alot of trouble.
Future matchups to make: Curran gets one step closer to being Bellator's first ever 2 time tournament winner as he will take on Marlon Sandro in the Featherweight tournament final.
Marlon Sandro defeated Nazaremo Malegarie by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
My Prediction: Sandro by Decision
My Rating: $$
What Happened: Sandro was able to keep Malegarie off his game all fight pretty much using his jab which helped set up bigger strikes including knees and leg kicks. It wasn't a finish for Sandro but that shouldn't be held against him as Malegarie was game all fight and did not quit.
Future matchups to make: Sandro will now face Pat Curran in the Featherweight tournament final which surely will be a great fight.
Chris Horodecki defeated Chris Saunders by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
My Prediction: Horodecki by TKO 2nd Round
My Rating: $1/2
What Happened: Horodecki was able to control this fight just about anywhere it ended up. Saunders was game though being pretty active while being put on his back attempting submissions and keeping Horodecki in his guard for the most part. It wasn't a flashy win for Horodecki but just as important to show Horodecki can work in the clinch and on the ground.
Future matchups to make: Horodecki would be a great participant in Bellators upcoming Lightweight tournament.
Neil Grove defeated Zach Jensen by TKO 2:00 1st Round
My Prediction: Jensen by TKO 1st Round
My Rating: $$1/2
What Happened: As expected both guys came out swinging and traded strikes in every position the fight took them. At one point the fight saw Grove attempting an ankle lock submission but even then we saw them exchanging strikes, with Grove attacking Jensen's head and Jensen favouring body shots to Grove. Grove also got in Jensen's guard where even then they both decided to trade strikes but engaging in that type of game plan while you're on the bottom is not always the best idea and prove right for Jensen as he saw the end of his evening in that very position.
Future matchups to make: Surely we will see Grove in the upcoming Heavyweight tournament. For Jensen it's most likely a return to region shows.
