Elite XC: Unfinished Business took place on July 26th, 2008 at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, California. The 2nd Elite XC event to air on CBS featured a a rematch between Middleweight champion Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith. Their first match was ended prematurely after an unintentional eye poke to Smith in the 3rd Round made him unable to continue. Lawler was able to retain his title after he beat Smith by TKO in the 2nd round. Jake Shields defeated Nick Thompson by guillotine choke in the 1st round to become the first ever Elite XC Welterweight champion. Christiane Santos and Nick Diaz were also victorious on the card.
Pride 15: Raging Rumble took place on July 29, 2001 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Main event featured Ryan Gracie taking on Tokimitsu Ishizawa. Ishizawa gained a TKO win over Gracie after Gracie was unable to continue due to injury. In the co-main event Kazushi Sakuraba defeated Quinton Jackson by rear naked choke in the 1st round. Victories by Rodrigo Nogueira, Heath Herring and Igor Vovchanchyn highlighted the rest of the event.

White is the current president of the UFC and also holds a 9% stake in Zuffa LLC, the company that owns the UFC. While a aerobics instructor it was then that he began managing UFC fighters Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. Eventually White got word that Semaphore Entertainment Group the parent company of the UFC would be selling the MMA promotion. White contacted his childhood friends, brothers Lorenzo and Frank Feritta and with their backing they purchased the UFC for a mere 2 million dollars. With White's help and vision the UFC has grown into a billion dollar business.
Cain Velasquez born on July 28th, 1982 in Salinas, California
The current UFC Heavyweight champion was also a 2 time All American wrestler while at Arizona State University. Undefeated at 9-0 with 8 of his victories coming by way of TKO he also has a Brown Belt in Guerilla Jiu Jitsu under Dave Camarillo at American Kickboxing Academy. Notable wins for Cain include his title winning bout against Brock Lesnar, Rodrigo Nogueira, and Cheick Kongo.
Yoshihiro Akiyama born on July 29th, 1975 in Osaka, Japan
One of the most popular fighters in Japan, Akiyama currently holds a 13-3 career MMA record. The highly decorated Judo practitioner was the 2006 K-1 Hero's Light Heavyweight Grand Prix winner. A winner of the Fight Of The Night award in all 3 of his UFC bouts but he most likely most known for his bout against Kazuski Sakuraba where he was accused of using oil on his body, the fight later was ruled a no contest. Notable wins for "Sexyama" include Alan Belcher, Denis Kang, and Melvin Manhoef.
Fabricio Werdum born on July 30th, 1977 in Porto Alegre, Brazil
"Vai Cavalo" is arguably one of the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners in MMA today. Fabricio is the 2 time defending ADCC champion as well as a former World Jiu Jitsu and Pan American champion. A 14-5 career record with 8 of his wins coming by way of submission none bigger than his win over Fedor Emelianenko. Consider the biggest upset and submission of 2010, Werdum is also credited as being the first person to legitimately defeat Emelianenko. To date Werdum is the only person to have defeated both Fedor and Aleksander Emelianenko, other notable wins for Werdum include Antonio Silva, Gabriel Gonzaga and Alistair Overeem.
