This fight started the complete opposite as I had predicted with Nijem looking to strike and Ferguson looking for a takedown. In the end though I was at least right in saying Nijem did not want to stand with Ferguson and paid dearly but being on the receiving end of Knockout Of The Night. $$1/2

Ferguson- He's already stated a fight with Amir Sadollah is something he would like and I was thinking the same thing.
Clay Guida defeated Anthony Pettis by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
My Prediction Pettis Decision
I actually really enjoyed this fight even as a big Pettis fan. It really didn't give us any surprises though we knew Guida would try and most likely succeed in getting Pettis down, we knew Pettis had great submission attempts from the bottom and we also knew Guida had great submission defense. We knew Pettis was very creative and had the advantage in the stand up. $$$1/2
Future match ups to make:
Guida- With most of the top ranked Lightweights already booked, Guida may have to wait till the end of summer to get a clearer picture of who his next opponent is going to be. But expect Guida involved in a pretty big match with title implications on the time his next time out.
Pettis- Still ranked in my books however the unfortunate thing for Pettis is Edgar, Maynard, Miller and now Guida all have great wrestling and its the obvious weakness for Showtime. I'd like to see Pettis take on a guy that is coming off a win like Jeremy Stephens or Gleison Tibau.

Kyle Kingsbury defeated Fabio Maldonado by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
My Prediction Maldonado TKO 2nd Round
Winner of the Fight Of The Night award and I would have to agree. I had this fight 29-28 in favour of Maldonado with him winning the 3rd clearly, Kingsbury winning the 2nd. It came down to who did more in the 1st and honestly it was close enough that I don't see any controversy with the decision. Kingsbury did a good job securing the clinch and kneeing Maldonado but I what found even more impressive was the body shots Fabio applied to Kyle which made him release the clinch numerous times throughout the fight. Kingsbury was also able to score some takedowns but again it was Maldonado reacting and being able to get fight back standing. $$$1/2

Kingsbury- I'd like to see Kyle take on Matt Hamill next
Maldonado- I'd like to see Fabio drop to the middleweight division
