Prelim Preview
1. BJ Penn vs Nick Diaz
My Prediction: Penn by TKO 2nd Round
Maybe a little bias with Penn being my favorite fighter but he is the slight favorite so i'm the only one in the world confident in his skills. Diaz's tendency to brawl could play right into Penn's game or Penn will take him down and put him on his back.
2. Hatsu Hioki vs George Roop
My Prediction: Hioki by Submission 2nd Round
Hioki has experience fighting in North America already on his resume so the debut shouldn't be too much of an issue and he will prove not only he is a top Japanese fighter but a top Featherweight in the world.
3. Scott Jorgensen vs Jeff Curran
My Prediction: Jorgensen by Decision
Curran is the one who has fought at larger weights but Jorgensen is the one with the power standing and the good wrestling who should be able to defend any jiu jitsu attack Curran might have.
4. Donald Cerrone vs Dennis Siver
My Prediciton: Cerrone by Submission 2nd Round
Cerrone is the much more well rounded fighter who could even win standing with Siver who is almost turning into a one trick pony.
5. Tyson Griffin vs Bart Palaszewski
My Prediction: Griffin by Decision
Griffin's wrestling will be too much for Palaszweski
6. Chieck Kongo vs Matt Mitrione
My Prediciton: Mitrione by TKO 1st Round
Mitrione is the more athletic and faster fighter who will land first
7. Chris Camozzi vs Francis Carmont
My Prediction: Camozzi by Decision
Camozzi's experience and ground game will work to his advantage
8. Ramsey Nijem vs Danny Downes
My Prediction: Downes by TKO 3rd Round
Downes has too good of striking for Nijem
9. Brandon Vera vs Eliot Marshall
My Prediction Vera by Decision
Vera does enough standing while avoiding the ground game of Marshall's
10. Cliffton Starks vs Dustin Jacoby
My Prediction: Jacoby by Submission 2nd Round
Never too confident of fighters debuting against each other
11. Mirko Cro Cop vs Roy Nelson
My Prediction: Cro Cop by TKO 2nd Round
Retirement seemed possible after Cro Cop's last bout, you have to wonder how much he has left.
