My Prediction: Ferguson by Decision

What Happened: Ferguson started out slow countering Riley with leg kicks but when he attacked he made it count. Ferguson landed a nice combination that staggered Riley and had him backing up through the rest of the round. Riley did his best to fight back and held on to finish the round but a broken jaw forced him out of the fight.
Future matchups to make: Very impressive Lightweight debut for Ferguson, a matchup against Vagner Rocha would be a good test for Ferguson's ground game.
My Prediction: Boetsch by Decision

What Happened: Boetsch was bascially the aggressor through out the bout but was unable to really land any big shots. In the 2nd Boetsch was able to get a guillotine submission attempt and as the round ended he executed a very nice trip and landed in a dominate position but did not have enough time to completely capitalize on it. The 3rd round was highlighted by a powerful toss again by Boetsch who ended up in a crucifix position on Ring who then looked to transition to full mount but couldn't complete the dominate position instead he lands some ground and pound strikes as the round ends.
Future matchups to make: Middleweight seems to get the weight class for Boetsch, he's faced 2 TUF contestants in a row and to keep the streak alive a bout with Court McGee could be pretty interesting.
Junior Assuncao defeated Eddie Yagin by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27)

What Happened: It wasn't the prettiest of victories for Assuncao who was making his return to the UFC but he still will probably take it. For the first 2 rounds not much action happened at all from either fighter who both heard it from the restless crowd. A guillotine attempt from Yagin in the 2nd which was pretty much ignored by Assuncao with a wag of his finger was pretty much Yagin's only chance. In the 3rd Assuncao finally decides to turn it on with takedowns and ground and pound but Yagin was able to hold on to reach the final bell.
Future matchups to make: A matchup with Rani Yahya could be an excellent grappling bout for Junior Assuncao

What Happened: Mizugaki was able to work dirty boxing getting Escovedo up against the cage and also surprisingly landed effective strikes while Escovedo locked in a muay thai clinch. Mizugaki also was landed nice combinations and was definitely the faster to throw through out the fight. It was a left, right combo to the body and head that dropped Escovedo who to his credit was able to get back up but it was only for a brief time as Mizugaki sends him right back down for good this time.
James Te Huna defeated Ricardo Romero by TKO :47 1st Round

What Happened: Te Huna not once but twice punished Romero coming in for takedowns, the second time around Te Huna connects with an uppercut that floors Romero and it's all over before it really gets started.
Future matchups to make: Te Huna taking on Luiz Cane could be a great matchup between 2 powerful strikers.
