UFC Live: Jones vs Matyushenko took place on August 1st, 2010 at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California. Main event featured future UFC champion Jon Jones taking on veteran Vladimir Matyushenko. Jones make quick work of Matyushenko winning by TKO 1:52 into the 1st round. Also victorious on the main card were Mark Munoz, Jake Ellenberger and Takanori Gomi scoring one of the best KO's 2010 with a win over Tyson Griffin.
WEC 35: Condit vs Miura took place on August 3rd, 2008 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Event featured 3 title fights which was the last time a Zuffa promoted event did so. Main event featured Carlos Condit defending his Welterweight title by defeated Hiromitsu Miura by TKO in the 1st round. Steve Cantwell defeated Brian Stann by TKO in their rematch to win the Light Heavyweight title. In the 3rd title fight Jamie Varner defeated Marcus Hicks to retain his Lightweight title. Future WEC champion Brian Bowles was also victorious as he defeated Damacio Page by submission.

Although one of the top ranked Bantamweights in the world a move to the Flyweight division is possibly in Benavidez's future and surely will be an instant contender for that title when it is made available. Notable wins for Benavidez include Wagnney Fabiano, Miguel Torres, Rani Yahya and Jeff Curran.
Gegard Mousasi born on August 1st, 1985 in Tehran, Iran
Mousasi is the current Dream Light Heavyweight Champion and previously held the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight title, Dream Middleweight title, and Cage Warriors Middleweight title. An excellent stand up fighter Mousasi even fought 2 bouts under K-1 rules winning them both. Having fought literally all around in the world in many of the top organizations Mousasi has an incredible 28 of his 31 career wins coming by way of TKO or submission. Notable wins for Gegard include Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Renato Sobral, Ronaldo Souza, Denis Kang and the last man to defeat Bellator Middleweight champion Hector Lombard.
Nick Diaz born on August 2nd, 1983 in Stockton, California
The former Strikeforce, WEC, and IFC Welterweight champion has a career record of 25-7 finishing 21 of those fights by TKO or submission. Diaz has recently dropped his Strikeforce title to make his return to the UFC and take on champion Georges St. Pierre. A verteran of the UFC, Pride, Strikeforce, WEC, Elite XC and Dream his most notable "win" was actually later ruled a no contest after he test positive for marijuana. The mentioned bout was against Takanori Gomi in Pride where Diaz submitted Gomi by the rare Gogoplata submission which regardless of its no contest ruling is consider one of the best fights of all time. Other notable wins that are still on Diaz's record include Paul Daley, Frank Shamrock, and Robbie Lawler.
Sean Sherk born on August 5th, 1973 in St. Francis, Minnesota
"The Muscle Shark" is the former UFC Lightweight champion and holds an impressive record of 36-4. The 4 loses on Sherk's record are to the best of best in all of MMA which current UFC champions Frankie Edgar and George St. Pierre and title fights against B.J. Penn and Matt Hughes. Known for his outstanding wrestling and condition Sherk has also been a tough fight for anyone he's faced. Notable wins for Sherk include Evan Dunham, Tyson Griffin, Kenny Florian and Nick Diaz.
Igor Vovchanchyn born on August 6th, 1973 in Zolochiv, Ukraine
"Ice Cold" was at a time known as one of the best fighters in the world. Now retired Igor finished his career with a 54-10 record including an incredible 37 fight win streak, 29 of those career wins came way of KO and another 17 by submission. Known for his devastating KO power he also was an accomplished kickboxing amassing a 61-2 career kickboxing record. A competitor of the famous 2000 Pride Grand Prix Igor made it to the finals before losing to Mark Coleman.
