What Happened: Alves had the possible decision win within his grip of the final minute of the fight and even had Kampmann hurt up against the cage but a takedown attempt while leaving his neck open for the submission was all Kampmann needed to get the stunning finish.
My Prediction: Benavidez by Decision

What Happened: A slowed paced 1st round saw little action but Benavidez turn the pressure on right away in the 2nd getting the finish just 11 seconds into the round. Benavidez countered a kick perfectly with a right hook that rocked Urushitani, Urushitani crumbled to the mat and Benavidez quickly put a finish to him and the fight with some follow up strikes.
My Prediction: Johnson by Decision

What Happened: The UFC implemented a "sudden death" 4th round for the flyweight tournament to be able to declare a clear cut winner in case of a draw. Unfortunately due to an calculation error the fight was only decided a draw after the fact which originally was scored a Johnson win. Aside from the inexcusable error the actual fight was a highly entertaining bout which was a great introduction for the flyweight division into the UFC ranks. Most thought the first 2 rounds went to Johnson as he used his great speed and foot work to get get the better of the striking exchanges. It was McCall though someone surprising who had more success with takedowns albeit it was minimal. The 3rd round was the most dominate for either fighter as McCall was able to score a takedown off the clinch and secured the back mount position and delivered some heavy ground and pound onto Johnson who to his credit was eventually able to escape the position. But McCall kept the pressure on regaining the dominate back mount position and unloaded some more ground and pound while playing to the crowd but could not get the finish.
My Prediction: McGee by Decision

What Happened: Philippou did enough in the first 2 rounds using great foot and head movement with his strking while avoiding McGee's takedowns. McGee attempted the comeback in the 3rd round still attempting takedowns but he found most of his success on the feet throwing combos mixed with kicks to close the distance on Philippou but it wasn't enough to get the win.
