Bader won by decision at UFC 119 9/25/10
Brilz lost by decision at UFC 114 5/29/10
Eric Schafer
Bader won by decision at UFC 104 10/24/09
Brilz won by decision at UFC Live 1 3/21/09
How they got here: Hasn't been the greatest of years for Bader who suffered his first career loss to Jon Jones at UFC 128 and followed that up with another loss in his most recent fight to Tito Ortiz at UFC 132. Brilz is also on a 2 fight losing streak with his most recent loss was a TKO to Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC 129.
What to expect: Both wrestlers Bader may look to keep this fight standing where he will have just about every advantage imaginable there. Bader is the quicker, stronger, more powerful and technically striker and should be able to dominate and possibly get the stoppage win.
My Prediction: Bader by TKO 2nd Round
Michael McDonald vs Alex Soto
13-1 Record 6-0-1
20 Age 27
136 Weight 135
5'8 Height 5'6
70" Reach N/A
-365 Odds +325
Common opponents: noneHow they got here: McDonald has now won 6 fights in a row (1 with WEC, 2 with UFC) with his most recent coming over Chris Cariaso at UFC 130 which he won by split decision. The undefeated Soto is stepping in for the injured Johnny Eduardo and is making his UFC debut. All 6 of Soto's wins have come by way of stoppage.
What to expect: McDonald at the tender age of 20 and 7 years the elder to Soto is actually the one with not only the most overall experience but specifically UFC experience as well. McDonald should be able to use that experience and be able to take control this fight no matter where it goes but he may favour taking this fight to the ground.
My Prediction: McDonald by Submission 2nd Round
Tom Lawlor vs Chris Weidman
7-3 Record 6-0
29 Age 27
185 Weight 186
6'0 Height 6'0
74" Reach 78"
+290 Odds -360
Common opponents: noneHow they got here: The undefeated Weidman who is one of the top prospects in the Middleweight division has now won both of his UFC fights with the most recent being a submission win over Jesse Bongfeldt at UFC 131. Lawlor is making his first appearance in 2011 after having 2 bouts cancelled. Lawlor's most recent fight was a win over Patrick Cote at UFC 121.
What to expect: A battle between 2 ground fighters that both have submissions to boot but Weidman probably would have the advantage in that department. Weidman is the more athletic fighter and should be able to scramble from any situations that Lawlor may get him in on the ground and outstrike him on the feet.
My Prediction: Weidman by Decision
Gleison Tibau vs Rafael Dos Anjos
23-7 Record 15-5

Tibau won by decision at UFC 75 9/8/07
Dos Anjos won by submission UFC 112 4/10/10
Tyson Griffin
Tibau lost by decision at UFC 81 2/2/08
Dos Anjos lost by decision at UFC Fight Night 18 4/1/09
How they got here: Tibau is undefeated in 2011 with 2 wins his most recent win was over Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 130. Dos Anjos is coming off his KO win over George Sotiropoulos at UFC 132.
What to expect: Dos Anjos is coming off his impressive win but Tibau will be the much bigger fighter and should be able to bully Dos Anjos to the ground. The key for Dos Anjos to get the win is to use his speed and striking to keep Tibau guessing.
My Prediction: Tibau by Decision
Miguel Torres vs Nick Pace
39-4 Record 6-2
30 Age 24
135.5 Weight 136
5'9 Height 5'7
76" Reach 68"
-300 Odds +265
Common opponents: noneHow they got here: Torres is coming off his great fight with Demetrious Johnson a decision he lost at UFC 130. Pace is also coming of a loss of his own which was to Ivan Menjivar at UFC 133 which many thought should of went Pace's way.
What to expect: Torres was outgrappled against Johnson and Pace will be looking to duplicate the performance. Pace isn't Johnson though and could find him self in alot of trouble with Torres reach on the not only on the feet but on the ground trying to avoid submissions which Torres is very good at off his back. Torres just be able to use that reach though to keep this fight standing and pick apart Pace with his long jab en route to the decision victory.
My Prediction: Torres by Decision
Matt Brown vs Seth Baczynski
12-10 Record 14-6
30 Age 30
170 Weight 171
6'0 Height 6'3
76" Reach 75"
-140 Odds +130
Common opponents: noneHow they got here: Brown is coming off his win over John Howard at UFC Live 4. Baczynski is coming off his successful UFC return where he defeated Clay Harvison by submission at UFC Fight Night 25, overall he has now won 3 in a row.
What to expect: Brown could be fighting for his job yet again and Baczynski does not want to to lose what he worked so hard to get back too. Both fighters will be highly motivated from the previous mention reasons but it should be Baczynski who will get Brown down and work for a submission.
My Prediction: Baczynski by Submission 2nd Round
Shamar Bailey vs Danny Castillo
12-4 Record 11-4
29 Age 32
156 Weight 156
5'8 Height 5'9
75" Reach 71"
+265 Odds -295
Common opponents: noneHow they got here: Bailey is coming off his lose to Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 25. Castillo had his UFC record evened at 1-1 when he dropped a decision to Jacob Volkmann at UFC Live 5.
What to expect: Both have good wrestling so it may be decided on the feet where Castillo should have the advantage there as well should be in better condition to go all 3 rounds.
My Prediction: Castillo by Decision
