UFC 50: The War of '04 took place on October 22nd, 2004 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Main event featured Tito Ortiz taking on Patrick Cote who stepped in to replace Guy Mezger who was hospitalized with stroke like symptoms. Cote put up a valiant effort dropping Ortiz at one point but ultimately losing the decision to Ortiz. Matt Hughes won his 2nd Welterweight title by defeating George St. Pierre by submission in the 1st round to win the title that was previously vacated by BJ Penn. Rich Franklin, Frank Trigg and Evan Tanner victories rounded out the main card bouts.
UFC Ultimate Brazil took place on October 16th, 1998 at the Ginasio da Portuguesa in Sao Paulo, Brazil. UFC's first event held in Brazil featured a main event of Frank Shamrock defending his Middleweight title in a rematch against John Lober. Shamrock defeated Lober by submission but the main known fight from this event is Vitor Belfort vs Wanderlei Silva, where Belfort blitzed Silva in his UFC debut defeating him by TKO in 44 seconds. A debuting Pedro Rizzo victory and Pat Miletich winning the first ever 170 pound title also highlighted the event.
Pride 32: The Real Deal took place on October 21st, 2006 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first ever Pride event held outside of Japan featured a rematch in the main event with Fedor Emelianenko taking on Mark Coleman. The outcome was the same but it took a round longer as Fedor against submitted Coleman by armbar. Mauricio Rua submitted Kevin Randleman while Josh Barnett, Dan Henderson, and Robbie Lawler all walked away with wins.

Having a amateur as well as a pro wrestling back ground Fujita is also known as "The last disciple of Antonio Inoki". Notable wins for Fujita include James Thompson, Bob Sapp, Gilbert Yvel, Ken Shamrock and Mark Kerr. It should be also noted in Fujita's fight against Fedor Emelianenko he was able to rock Fedor with a huge punch during a time where Fedor seemed unbeatable, Fujita however eventually fell by submission to Emelianenko.
Frankie Edgar born on October 16th, 1981 in Toms River, New Jersey
The current UFC Lightweight champion and top 5 pound for pound fighter in the world holds a career record of 14-1-1. Based in wrestling when he started his MMA career with only 3 weeks of training, Edgar is probably more known now for his great head movement and footwork he uses to go along with his great quickness. The brown belt in Jiu Jitsu has also won Fight Of The Night award at a UFC event 4 times. The biggest win for "The Answer" was what many consider one of the biggest upsets of all time when he defeated BJ Penn for the Lightweight title but backed it up by beating Penn again 4 months later. Other notable wins for Edgar include Gray Maynard (the only person to defeat Edgar who also fought to a draw), Sean Sherk, and Tyson Griffin.
Luke Rockhold born on October 17th, 1984 in Santa Cruz, California
Rockhold is the current Strikeforce Middleweight champion and has a career record of 8-1. 6 of the brown belt in Jiu Jitsu's wins are by submission and he won his first 8 bouts by stoppage. The AKA trained fighter is a top 10 ranked Middleweight who's father played professional basketball in Europe as well as in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors. Notable wins include his Middleweight title win against Ronaldo Souza, Paul Bradley, and Jesse Taylor.
