Battle In Seattle

So UFC will be heading to Seattle for a Fight Night Card this saturday and to say the least i'm excited, not only because it's a pretty darn good card but it's also going to be my first live UFC experience. This card has been plagued with injuries but I think the UFC has done a great job with replacements they got on short notice. I'll be posting pics and thoughts about the card on Monday along with pics from a Shogun signing i'll be going to in Vancouver.

Predictions for UFC Fight Night 24

Main Event
Phil Davis vs Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
Disappointed that Tito got injured for the big name draw bout but realistically Davis stepping in for him gives this fight more relevance in the light heavyweight divison. Does a blue chip prospect vault him self in the rankings with a win over a Brazilian Pride vet on back to back weekends? Or is experience the deciding factor in this one?. As much as I love Lil Nog he had trouble with Ryan Bader's and Jason Brillz's wrestling and Davis is on a whole different level than them in pretty much all aspects of the game.

Prediction Davis TKO 2nd Round-too much size, too much athleticism, too much wrestling for Lil Nog to handle, Davis climbs the rankings towards a potential (2012?) showdown with newly crowned champ Jon Jones

Dan Hardy vs Anthony Johnson
Hardy's lost 2 in a row, Johnson hasn't been in the Octagon in 16 months, still i'm looking forward to this one. Both have power to knock each other out, Johnson has the edge on the ground but if it gets into the 3rd Round how much gas will Johnson have?

Prediction Johnson TKO 1st Round- AJ seems to have more ways to win this fight, he could ground and pound this win or use his kicks to set up something big

Amir Sadollah vs Damarques Johnson
Originally slated to take on Duane "Bang" Ludwig then James Wilks, Amir will now take on DJ. I think of all 3 opponents I liked the Ludwig matchup the best but i'll take this one over Wilks (even though Wilks has a win over DJ). You have to give the striking advantage to Amir with the ground game probably a draw.

Prediction Sadollah Decision- Amir's muay thai the big difference in this fight

Leonard Garcia vs Jung Chan-Sung
I was disappointed for about half a second when I heard Nam Phan got injured and his rematch was off against Garcia, the i read it....The Korean Zombie. Will this live up to their fight of the year nominated fight of last year? I'm don't think it will but i'm pretty sure they are both going to try or die trying. I'm predicting however unlike their first fight this will not go to decision I see someone getting dropped and that is someone is....

Predicition Garcia TKO 2nd Round- Zombie shows alot of heart (again) but this time Bad Boy finishes him
